Prioritize Your Plate

Our Belief

Americans are deeply nutrient deficient. Many ailments are due to a lack of essential nutrients. Overindulging in non-essential and nutrient-deficient foods is the main cause of this.

Our gut is our first brain, and we believe food can be medicine—if we let it. When we say “Prioritize Your Plate,” we mean focusing on essential, nutrient-dense foods first. Essential nutrients are the foundation of life—they are the nutrients our bodies need to survive. These include eight essential amino acids and two essential fatty acids.

We did not include carbohydrates in our nutritional pyramid because there is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. This does not mean we exclude carbohydrates entirely; rather, we believe in prioritizing essential nutrients first and then incorporating other foods into our diet as desired.

Our goal is simple, it is not to teach kids to fear certain food groups. Rather, we aim to teach them the fundamentals of nutrition, giving them the confidence they need to make choices that will optimize their health and, ultimately, their lives.
